Are you sure you want a dog ?
Every day your dog will need coat care, training and exercise.
Do you have time between job, home and family for this ?
Be Honest.
Periodically your dog will need to go to the vet's for health examination,
deworming, vaccinations, spaying and/or neutering. Do you have the time
and money?
Be Honest.
The kids need a dog as a companion, and to train them (the kids)
to be responsible. Are you prepared to feed the dog because the kids are
too busy and you can't stand the darn thing crying all the time, for food
and/or attention?
Be Honest.
"This breed of dog goes so well with my interior designer's choice
of colors." (Unbelievable, but real) What are you going to do when you
get tired of those colors? Take the dog down a lonely stretch of road and
shove it out of the car? Or perhaps, Take it to the "Humane Society"? Can
you live with your dog's eyes on your back as you leave? These animal are
temporary living proof of your betrayal of their love and loyalty.
